2018 Montessori Childrens House Report On October 12th Students from the Montessori Children's House of Redmond, WA and there teacher, Mary Moore, attended the weekly Knapping Workshop a Jim Keffer's shop in Sammamish, WA. The students were treated to a flintknapping demonstration and a look into the various stone tools and technologies. They were able to see and touch a variety of stone tools, arrowheads, complete arrows and atlatls. There were also shown a wide variety of different types of knappable stone. Also attending this weekly event for the first time were recently retire Scott Wittet, of Seattle, WA and Ashley, from Alderleaf Wilderness College! |
